11 Questions: Matt Spencer.

Posted by: kris

I’m pretty sure I asked Matt to do one of the 11 Questions things at last years Midwest Mayhem? Not too sure but I know it was a hell of a long time ago and is way overdue. Being the solid dude that he is I sent him some long overdue questions and he was more than happy to oblige. He hits some valid points on the game and lets you know what he’s up to. Peep it. Thanks again to Matt for doing this…hopefully see you down south soon!

I’ll start is off with his SKYLMT edit because its too good. Click through for the whole piece.

1) Who are you…you know…what people call you, how long you’ve been roaming the Earth and where you choose to reside.

Matt Spencer. A while ago Fonseca tried to coin me as “silky” but I don’t really fuck with nicknames. 23 years old and just moved up to Hollywood a few months ago.

2) Years spent killing your knees on your bike?

About 4 and a half years riding fixed now.

3) What kind of stuff do you do when you aren’t on your bike? I know you’ve said before that bikes aren’t your life but just a piece of it…what are some of the other pieces?

I do tons of shit. Into filming and editing almost as mush as I am riding. I run my WOLFDRAWN site, which is pretty, much 100% original content and I make some products for the blog. Also, have a non-bike related clothing line on the side I have recently started that’s doing good SOWET69.COM. Do some freelance design work here and there. Then after all of that I try to have some kind of a life and go out and party.

Density and Time: The Compendium.

Posted by: kris

One of the projects I’ve been working on lately is a series of videos for Kevin‘s recent album release. I’ve listened to this collection more times than I can count and there’s a lot of good tunes in here. Good for bumpin’ while your’re riding or cruisin’ around town for sure. We’re currently working on a series of videos for sections of the mix that are going to essentially be a collection of peoples artistic ideas inspired by the album. That will definitely be up on the site once its done but in the mean time check out the album here and snag it if you’re into it! You won’t be disappointed.

Haha this is too fun of a video not to post. Really cool idea for a music video with some bike theme to it. I wouldn’t be into that snow riding and it looks like Face isn’t diggin’ it too much either. Remember Face from nick Jr.? Ha.

Toro Quality Goods: Tension & Release. (sticky)

Posted by: kris

If you’ve read the blog for any amount of time you’ll know I’m rather close with the dudes from Toro and often collaborate with them on events and such. Being that we’re all good friends and from the same little city of Sacramento we’ve decided to work together to bring yall some solid products as well as audio visual entertainment. Here’s the first significant post from the Toro blog as a taste of things to come. The dudes got this together for an event we had toward the end of last year and now we’d like to share it with everyone. Below is a little blurb I wrote for their blog and of course a solid little video that had a lot of time put into it…check the Toro spot out for more goodies!

For anyone that’s put the time into building up their own bike know’s that it can be quite the process. Deciding on components, sourcing the goods and finding the time to bring it together into a ridable rig can be exhausting. However, the payoff is well worth it when you’re riding around on something born of your own two hands.

Last summer Kevin decided to take the plunge and build something he’d be proud to be rolling on. Not because it looked flashy or cost a grip of money but rather for the fact that he himself made it happen. For anyone who knows what goes into building something like this we’d like to share it with you. For the rest of you…here’s a look into Kevin’s process and a look at a hot bike.
