The energy from the crowd was unbelievable. By standers were shouting and cheering from all corners of the track. So many strong women came out to Mission Crit and crushed it! Congrats to Jo Celso for taking the W.The real battle was between Cesar Valenzuela and Colin Strickland Redhooks overall champion. As they tore apart the field, they created a swift breakaway group. Jaws were dropping when Cesar broke away from the group and maintained a 16 second lead and lapped the peloton, solidifying his first place podium at Mission Crit. With plenty of Cinelli’s on the road here in Sacramento one brand you don’t see many of is Engine 11. I’m pretty sure Nate‘s Vortex here is only the second track frame from the Korean brand to hit the streets in the City of Trees. He’s got some proper parts finishing this bad boy out and those Ritchey carbon bat wings are something to envy for sure! Being in the dead of winter we tried to mix things up and hit the dryers at the local laundromat for a full set. Click through for the whole deal…
Now that the Black Friday dust has settled it might be time to really get down to business on your holiday shopping. With seven new kits, tees, Motor Oil bottle and the fresh 365 snap back there’s more than enough to gift from the Heavy Pedal…or keep yourself looking fresh. There’s a few of my favorites after the click but be sure to pop over to see all the new new!
After moving to the Bay Area from Sac our dude Eazie is has been out and about taking in as much as he can. Despite crit season being about “over” he came back with a good collection from last weekend’s Golden State Criterium. You can expect a bit more from him here in the future but for the time being go peep his gallery for the night at the races!
I’ve been wanting to get this going for a bit now and am excited to present the first #featurefriday with Fabio‘s Dodici Gara here. He rides this primo aluminum build on the streets Milan, Italy and beyond. The Omnilattice setup has become a staple and you can’t go wrong with some wide carbon risers to keep things comfy. Digging the winter backdrop he chose for these shots and can’t wait to keep this series going. Click through for a few more and feel free to drop me a line to have your bike featured for a #featurefriday!
Another stellar piece from Moe and I.AM.WE.ARE this time featuring cycling globetrotter Mike Dann. There’s always something inspiration about someone dropping everything in pursuit of memories made by bike. Pop over for words on what keeps Mike motivated and where his three month excursion has taken him!
There is no doubt that Mash Sf 10 years anniversary is the biggest event going down this year! Holding many movie premieres in places like London, LA, SF, Japan and so forth. Taiwan also just finished the premiere few days ago! And now finally have a great opportunity to snap shots on this masterpiece designed by Garrett Chow! There’s definitely a devil in the details. Perfect black and gold colorway with hundreds of parallel lines intersecting to form this complex design! My bro Eric got this 10 years frame as 39 out of 100 and was the first homie who got this in Taiwan! Enjoy this great build from Kendo Shop guys!
Been helping push out NVAYRK, this great brand for quite a long time and it’s always stoked to see they come up with awesome jersey, bib, shirts and so forth! Always magnificent on the graphics and designs. This time just pumped on this NVAYRK Sweatshirt with lots of details on it! Winter is approaching and this sweatshirt definitely covers all things you’re gonna worry in this season! Small rear pocket can help you put all essentials into without carrying another pouch on the road. And basically this sweatshirt provides safety with reflective materials for urban riders like me through the city! Keep your eyes on this and swoop some on here!
This week another rad build coming up from my favorite bike shop Kendo Shop again! Homie got the great taste on making Look 464 be the finest! So many details on this track beast to soak myself in! What captures my attention most is the ENVE compnents match-up from seatpost to bar and stem! Black label makes it look low profile but also profound and graceful! And those sets of Phil Wood track hubs are just speechless! So far the best build of Look Cycle! Get yourself soak in as well, all readers!!
