Tall Gary’s 2010 Cannondale Capo.

Posted by: kris

A handful of years back when urban cycling first started taking hold in Sacramento I met Tall Gary. He came out to most of the Effin’ Friday rides, rocked it on the polo court and was always down for a little cruise. He’s still spends most of his freetime when not poking holes in people out and about though his perhaps a step up from his Leader of yore. One look at Gary’s bike and you don’t have to think much on the origins of his nickname. Dude’s got some height on just about everyone and a sweet Cannondale Capo to match. Finished off with some nice Thompson bits to keep it murdered…aside from the necessary stickers job. Click through for a few more!

Smither’s Affinity Lo Pro.

Posted by: kris

Anytime I get a message from Michael I know he’s got to have something new cruise around on. Today it was this super clean Affinity Lo Pro build he just put the finished up a la carbon Reynolds track wheels. Had a few minutes to spare so I swung by Pedal Hard and we snuck in a few photos. Fun fact: some of the art on the surrounding wall is done by none other than Robert from PH. Click through for a few others and stay tuned ’til Smithers swoops up something else proper!

10-4 | Angel’s Leader Kagero.

Posted by: kris

Angel here goes through bikes faster than shoes yet everything he puts together is nothing short of on point. His most recent toy is this 2011 Kagero built up proper from the Dura Ace hubs to the well loved 75′s. Interested to see how it looks after a few months of working on it ’cause for a 4 year frame this thing is still sparkly…

WHAT’S COOKIN’: Eddie’s Superb Sprint.

Posted by: kris

Had some time to kill today around lunch and remember that Eddie had something else awesome I had wanted to shoot. After a quick text I was able to link up with him before he headed into work…ironically cookin’ it up at a restaurant. His Superb Sprint is something to behold from the MACK hubs to the matching Wound Up post and fork. Click through for a bunch more…then go get your dinner time on.

Smither’s Razesa.

Posted by: kris

Mike has been hanging around Pedal Hard for a few years now and is always looking for something to spend money on. After going through more bikes in the past few months than most people do ever he’s finally got something he likes. This vintage Razesa track frame is about as rare as they come and he definitely hooked this one up proper. From the polished H&Son hoops to that aesome 1″ Nitto stem this is one clean build that’s definitely worth a look. After a quick 10 miles yesterday we stopped downtown to snap a few quick photos…more after the click!

#messlife: Angel’s Fuji Track Pro.

Posted by: kris

Been meaning to get these photos of my dude Angel’s FTP from last week. I bought a much needed new lens after shooting these so I’ve been busy playing with that and considered shooting these much better…but I’m pretty sure he already ditched this bad boy. A nice build though with the Omniums and the Primato hubs being some choice pieces. Click through for a few more and stay tuned for whatever he picks up next!

Kenjo’s Look 464 P.

Posted by: kris

Had a few hours to spare yesterday and with Pedal Hard being down the street I couldn’t think of a better spot to kill some time. Robert’s usually got something rad in the shop so I grabbed the camera as usual and rolled on over. I spotted this bad boy parked aside it’s owner Kenjo and definitely was digging it. Robbie suggested to shoot it and here ya go. From the Rotor cranks to the Phil based wheels this thing is pretty money…more after the click!

Brandon’s Mash Parallax.

Posted by: kris

Last Friday before skipping out to Bike Party I linked up with one of the locals to snap his rad Mash Parallax. Brandon’s been a long time reader and his newest ride was just too good to pass up. After riding whatever worked for years he’s finally bit the bullet (or his wallet) and pieced something together he could be stoked on for years. Thinking my favorite bits on here are those champion stripe Mack hubs laced to the Araya’s…very choice. Click through for a handful more!

After work yesterday I linked up with and long time reader to shoot his sick Mash Parallax. Here’s a tease  ’til I get around to posting up the set tomorrow…this thing fucking rules.

Alex’s Destroy Unicorn Killer V2.

Posted by: kris

I can’t remember the last time a FGFS bike check went up on here so last time I was out with Destroy’ Gnarlos we made it happen. What was supposed to be a day of filming turned into riding around beer hunting after Alex blew a tube. His 2013 Unicorn Killer may look a bit rough around the edges but you can bet it ride a ok. Click through for a handful more of photos and then hit Destroy to see what they’ve been working on…
