This is where I’ll be spending my night this evening! REEL Bike-In Theatre brings us Dog Town and Z Boys this week for the weekly movie night. This is the second one in a series that we’ll be going to for the next five weeks. Brian also organized a pre party at Golden Bear for us to get a bit of liquid motivation before the ride over. Looks like I might be leading this ride so be sure to stop by! Check the event info below and peep both the event page and party page for deets!
“Interested in riding your bike to REEL at The Greens Hotel to watch Dogtown and Z-Boys? Then meet up at The Golden Bear from 4-7pm, hosted by Toro Quality Goods, and enjoy some eats and drinks before you cruise over. Toro will be giving out free swag too!
Here are the details for the REEL event:
FREE, 6-10 p.m, August 16th.
21 and older–no kids. Dogs of all ages are welcome.
Directed by skateboarding icon, Stacy Peralta; Dogtown & Z-Boys is a documentary that tells the story of a group of teenage skateboarders and surfers who would forever influence the world of skateboarding. Featuring footage from one of skateboarding’s most popular photographers, Craig Stecyk, the film showcases the Zephyr Skate Team, and their significance in both the culture and sport.
Ride your bike (or drive) to The Greens Hotel for the REEL Bike In Theater. Throughout the rest of Summer and into Fall, we will be showcasing classic Hollywood hits, award-winning documentaries & acclaimed indie films.
Bring a folding chair or picnic blanket, and enjoy a great evening of film, music, art, pop-up shops, & food and drink. Some of Sacramento’s popular food trucks will be there each evening, in addition to a beer garden, serving up refreshing brews.
It’s all set inside of The Greens Hotel- a modern, design focused boutique hotel, which features an Artists in Residence community that is extremely active on Del Paso Blvd.
There will be street/lot parking available, bike parking inside the hotel, and for those with a preference for mass transit- it’s very close to Light Rail.“
