New Chrome Summer Shoe Models.

Posted by: kris on Thursday, May 10th, 2012 9:20 am

Chrome’s giving you some fresh heat for your feet this summer with four new shoe styles. The infamous Kursk will be coming in a couple new material style, the Southside now rolling in low and they’re introducing their first female style with the Dolores…aptly named after the famous SF kick it spot I’m assuming.

Hitting stores today, Chrome Industries is proud to introduce four new models into the urban bike and fixed freestyle scene. Built to be indestructible like all of the Chrome bags, the new Chrome shoes are the Kursk Natural and Kursk Pro Natural, the Lower Southside and the addition of Chrome’s first-ever women’s model, the Dolores. “Our Summer Footwear line is inspired by American classics and built with our commitment to making bombproof gear for the city,” says, Steve McCallion, Chrome Industries’ President.

For the Kursk Natural and Kursk Pro Natural, Chrome created a limited run of their best selling urban cycling shoes in a natural canvas color. Military grade materials and special bike features like clip-in compatibility and stiffer soles for maximum riding performance make these the most sought after urban bike shoes on the market. They provide performance on the bike and look good chilling in the bar.

New Chrome Summer Shoe Models.

The Lower Southside is part skate, part fixed freestyle and part Chicago stoop party. It’s the low-top version of Chrome’s popular Southside. Fit and styling include a low profile silhouette with breathable side panels, full-grain leather and a latex wedge in the heel for impact cushioning. The Lower Southside is built for shredding the city and barbequing in the park.

New Chrome Summer Shoe Models.

Chrome’s first-ever women’s model, the Dolores features a durable 1000 denier nylon upper to withstand all the city can throw at it and a slimmed down silhouette tailored for a woman’s foot that features a narrow toe box and low profile design. The elastic tongue gorge allows the Dolores to be worn with or without laces. The Dolores provides women the look of an American classic with the durability and comfort for which Chrome is known.

Go to www.chromeindustries.com to find your local Chrome Retailer or you can purchase them through the online store and all of the Chrome HUBs in San Francisco, New York, Chicago and soon to open Portland

Alrighty so this chill ride video did tow things for me. First, anyone want to hit up Oakland one Friday and ride with the C8C crew? Looks like they have a good time and the ride eds at the Oakland Art Murmur which is sick. Second, I think I’ll go ahead and start up some regular monthly rides again…something along the lines of Effin’ Fridays. Sounds like a plan to me.

Red Bull Ride N’ Style: Matt Reyes.

Posted by: kris on Friday, May 4th, 2012 11:52 am

Coming into this years Ride N’ Style Matt was one to watch considering he took the even last year. With his super smooth style and crazy bike control he rode the course like a beast. Matt probably has the best tuck no handers in the game plus a bag of other tricks some people can’t even pull. His threes were dialed and his used of some of the obstacles way different than everyone else. I really dug his nosie across the quarter on the wallride set up. All his runs were way sick!

Red Bull Ride N’ Style: Mike Schmitt.

Posted by: kris on Thursday, May 3rd, 2012 2:28 pm

I remember meeting Mike at the first Midwest Mayhem and thinking he was nuts. I mean…hanging from the rafters of a skatepark with a broken wrist to drop into pretty damn steep bank is pretty is crazy. Crazy sick that is. Mike always brings something super off the wall and way dope to competitions. This year at Ride N’ Style he went all out pretty much hopping into the judges booth. I wanted to see him land this so bad! Luckily I snagged a flick of it though…so rad dude!

Red Bull Ride N Style: Mike Schmitt.

Red Bull Ride N’ Stlye: Jakob Santos.

Posted by: kris on Thursday, May 3rd, 2012 12:43 pm

When riding a major event like Ride N’ Style it pretty necessary to do some tricks that set you apart from the rest of the group. Everyone, Jakob included, had some super dope wallrides and grinds but it was Santos 180 out of the course that I thought was way sick. Not too many people trying to fly out into the crowd this year but Jakob made it look easy.
