There are few things I enjoy as much as cycling and urban exploration is easily right there with it. On their Japan adventure back in May The Roosters took to the dilapidated ruins of Nara’s Dreamland theme park for a few laps in the past. Built in 1961 the park has been closed since ’06 and slowly deteriorating into the perfect glimpse into days gone by. A great stop on what had to be a trip for the books…more from The Roosters here!
After talking about it for some time my dude Jonathan and I decided to set out for the 80+ mile loop from Sac up to Auburn. Some free time over the weekend and mild temps made for a good time to take the Thunderbird up to the hills. Was a hot one but we pushed on for a long break at the river a a couple cold ones. Now to do it on the track bike!
An awesome one from the Radavist chronicling the adventure of the Mudfoot Fundo One Hundo. The 100 mile trip takes you through all kinds of terrain and just plain looks fun as hell. Definitely going to be keeping my eyes peeled for next weeks installment on the Radavist!
Before cycling I was more keen on four wheels than two and I’m certainly not alone. Always great to see the two come together and cycling powerhouse Cadence has teamed up with skateboarding’s Central for just that. Follow Dustin Klein as he travels through Nicaragua with Central founder Chico Brenes and handful of other pro skaters. Bikes, boards and what looks like one hell of a time in part two of the series! (click through for part 1!)
With spring on its way all I can think about lately is bike adventures like this one here from The Roosters. After seeing the trailer for this last week I’ve been itching to give it a look for a little trip motivation. These dudes sure as hell had a good time making their way from Madrid to Bordeaux over four days. I won’t be making it to Europe any time soon but you can bet I’ll be chasing some of this scenery. Hit their page for more or give them a follow for the daily!
All I want to do in life is go on epic bike adventures. Take a trip around Java, Indonesia in this rad solo trip coming from Fixietas. Nothing quite like the sights and scenes from a trip like this one…
Going to be waiting for this one to drop from the Roosters adventure crew. These dudes definitely know how to have fun embarking on some wild two wheeled trips. They’re upcoming release will follow them 357 kilometers as they trek through Spain from Madrid to Valencia. Some epic shots in this quick bit so be sure to stay tuned for the real deal!
200 miles in Barcelona sounds pretty perfect right now. Can’t make the trip but we can tag along with some dedicated dudes as the ride the same 200+ miles of the 1911 “Volta” a Catalunya. Missed this one when it went up a few months back but it’s awesome enough to give a look still. A long one so kick back to some weird sounds and cool views…
“In 1911 took place the first Volta a Catalunya, consisted of 3 stages: Barcelona – Tarragona, Tarragona – Lleida and Lleida – Barcelona.
On Saturday March 29th at sunset, we started from Plaza Sarria (BCN), to address the route BCN – TGN – LLDA – BCN, with a total of 350 km with 3500 m of altitude, for ones too much, for others only a little, for us … MORE!”
The dudes at Track Bike Total War are always putting out fun ones like this. A recent trek up to the Italian ghost town of Consonno makes for a little adventure inspiration. Looks rad enough I might need to get on something like this on the weekend. Peep more from the T.B.T.W crew on here!
Back at it after a few days off to skip town and have some adventures. Got to stay in this sweet pad and hit some fun spot thanks to a surprise trip from my girl. Plenty of room for our bikes in this converted speakeasy apartment…complete with a bar and pinball machine. Hit up Alcatraz for the first time and hit up New Parkway which was damn cool. All in all it was definitely one to remember!
