Lucas’ Unknown SL1.

Posted by: kris

Shortly after I finished my Unknown SL1 build my buddy Lucas pulled the trigger on his frameset. He’d been thinking about building one up for months and in the end he had a pretty damn solid bike. Sometimes it takes a while to get around to bike photos but today (with a little beer motivation) we got it done. Pretty stoked on how his overall build came out. Click through for a whole set of flicks…

On Location: Sea Otter Classic.

Posted by: kris

Was down in Monterey over the weekend for the Sea Otter Classic. Doesn’t get much better than bikes and camping so it was for sure a good time hanging with the Destroy dudes. Despite the MTB focus of the event there were some fixed/urban cycling vendors with some cool stuff on display. Spotted Plant X who had some newer carbon track setups, Phil Wood with the usual mix of hubs/cogs and the god dudes of Fyxation. A few photos from the weekend after the click…

SuckMyCog: JBall’s Bombtrack Divide.

Posted by: kris

Jball just made the switch to microdrive recently on his Bombtrack Divide. With that he threw on some fresh paint and took it out for some photos. Looks fucking dialed and makes me miss my 700c days. Peep the whole bike check here

Glenn’s Low.

Posted by: kris

I’ve been meaning to snap some photos of Glenn‘s Low since I saw it in pieces on instagram quite a while ago. After riding together countless times (as in I definitely can’t remember) we finaally managed to make it happen. He knows how to build a bike right and put this bad boy together perfectly top to bottom. FSA carbons driving a nice set of Ellipses and a real comfy looking cockpit. That saddle roll takes the cake as my favorite piece though…click through for a few more!

Stanridge for Red Hook Crit.

Posted by: kris

This year’s Stanridge builds came out looking pro as hell adorned with artwork from the world famous Eine. These race machines will be circling the course at Red Hook this weekend and you can bet they’ll be gunning for gold with riders Katie Arnold at the helm. Hopefully we can get #yungfixie to snap some real life photos of these tomorrow!

Darrin’s Orbea Track.

Posted by: kris

Darrin’s had this ride for some time now and I’ve drooled over for almost as long. Be it how rarely you see one or features like that headtube bridge there’s just something about Orbea builds you have to like. His has a bit of a story along with a nice cache of parts to keep it dialed in. Those Reynolds’ carbon clinchers are too damn sweet. Click through for a little gallery…

Teaming Up: Chrome x Cinelli.

Posted by: kris

Chrome and Cinelli joining forces for what will surely be on hell of a collabo. Two iconic brands of their own rights they’re definitely going to bring it on March 28th. Just in time for Red Hook….hmmm.

#weekendwarrior: Beach Bummin’.

Posted by: kris

Most weekends the girlfriend and I skip town to break up the monotony that is life. Made it down south with the bikes and rolled around Santa Cruz. Played in the sand a bit with my Assassin. Also caught Splash the Boardwalk mascot looking pretty fly…

Robbie’s 1975(ish) Gitane Track.

Posted by: kris

When you own a bike shop you’re bound to come across some deals too good to pass up. Robbie’s of Pedal Hard seems to have a bunch of these…always finding cool track stuff for awesome deals. He recently picked up this vintage Gitane track from a dude who raced it in the 80′s. A nice come up and and even better build with the parts he threw on…click through for a little gallery. It’s sweet…

My Uknown SL1.

Posted by: kris

It’s been some time since I’ve had a track bike built up proper with some nice parts. Late last year I got to talking with Vinny at Unknown and had this SL1 build in process. Months later after gathering parts to keep it legit it’s finally dialed in. Got some sweet deals on the 75′s, wheel build and other parts thanks to Robbie at Pedal Hard. Definitely rides like a dream and is now the go to for those long rides and  busy days at work. Full gallery after the jump!
