It’s always great to see other friend’s bikes find new life in the hands of another. Greg picked up the Purple People Eater from Tyler a few weeks back and decked it out with some candy. Aside from the new dent on this BreakBrake17 Chase I’m digging the mix of new colors…
Greg and I had time today to meet up for a few quick photos in between runs. While he munched away on a burger I grabbed a few of his dialed Karma in yet another of the grimy Sacramento alleys. We didn’t have time for all the details so this is a bit of a teaser until the full dealio is ready!
Been always digging the street build on a track bike and this time my man Norman demonstrated the real deal of street style! Breakbrake 17 Karma street build and style had been marked in evevryone’s heart since Alex bombing streets with that! Great to see the spirit is still alive! Homie got some good tastes choosing Factory 5 chainring, Velocity rims and a huge wide handlebar in order to have more stable controls on the street! And that Chub is damn awesome too…always enjoy this Karma build!
When you’re holding it down for a brand like BreakBrake17 you definitely want something fresh to to show off at the races. Tyler had his Chase prototype done up in a rad purple before tossing on a nice set of parts to finish it off. This one is easily a favorite of the rigs from recently so click through for a closer look!
Last week I was so stoked to borrow this awesome new Karma 2015 build from Nest Burger restaurant and snap some shots on it!! The new version is definitely one of the hottest framestes in the market this year. Dark grey, low profile paint job with the shiny pink color makes 2015 Karma look even better than the old ones! Diggin’ that new head tube logo too! Also comes out with the gorgeous Factory 5 chainring, Deda drops, Thomson components……dope build for sure!!
The fine people at Spike Parts want to see you shredding a new set of their track hubs! Team rider Alex Gonzalez is at the helm of the video contest that requires nothing more than you posting a fresh 15 second video. Multiple entries are okay and they want to see something creative so no half assing it! You have ’til November 7th so get to it and follow Alex & BB17 for more…
BB17 continues to impress with their Transfer frames. The newest color released for 2014 is this gloss black/matte gray colorway. Looks too clean…now to see one built up proper. More info on the ’14 line of frames right here.
Hell yeah JRuff! Some of the best spots I’ve seen as of late and you know Jacob hits them with his out of the box style. Last line was clutch but I’m noticing that wheelie control more than anything. Dig that hop on 180 off the table and that roll in down the entry was too ill. See those things all the time here in Sac and never had the balls to roll down one. Good shit for BB17.
I’m going to have to say that this is one of the sickest builds I’ve seen in a while. The all raw/chrome with black accents just looks so clean and those 29ers make this thing look mean. There’s a bunch more on the BB17 blog and even more on Funny’s spot.
