The old friends at Eighthinch sent out a couple of their newest bars to put through the ringer. Having just been released the new drop bar and small risers are a huge improvement over their past models. Since the my tarck build is made up of almost all Eighthinch goods the riser will be right at home while the drops will end up on a track build. Here’s a couple snaps from a grimy downtown alley…check back for more after these get broken in!
For some time now I’ve been wanting to build up a bike for work that’s a bit beefier but still quick enough to bounce around town on. Yesterday I realized I had the makings of said bike right in my basement. Now this Eighthinch Butcher lives again just this time ittle track and a little trick just like the ‘ol days. Fucking stoked on riding this beast around today…and glad I got some laundry done too.
Been a while since we’ve seen something new from the Wisconsin’s Eighthinch but they’ve been on the move as of late. Among the new stuff dropping is their new Dispatch frame. Hand made at the legendary Waterford Cycles these things have to be solid as hell. More pricey than a Scrambler but a sub $700 USA handmade frame is pretty damn good. Swoop here!
Eighthinch is having a little instagram contest that could get you some goodies. Follow the directions below by posting a photo of your EI bike plus tag and mention them. You have all weekend so get to it!
“This weekend we thought we’d give you a chance to win some prizes by competing in our Instagram Contest. The rules are simple, follow us on Instagram, post a picture of your EighthInch bike with @eighthinch tagged and mentioned, then sit back and wait to see if you are a winner. We’ll review all the entries Monday and pick out our favorites. Photo’s must be posted 6/13 – 6/16 to qualify. Good luck and have a great weekend!”
Looks like our man Gnarlos got some really good clips the other day at the park while working on his switch game and dialing in some combos. Not only is his riding amazing in this, the filming and editing go right along with it! Really hyped on this short edit dude! Excited to see more…
Well this is going to be a pretty cool event from the homies at Eighthinch. Their annual Wheel and Sprocket sale is coming up and this year they decided to step up there game and create a rad experience for you. Super cheap deals on completes and conversions plus you can test ride anything they have out there. If you feel like taking it back a bit you can school some peeps on Goldeneye or Mario Cart in the N64 lounge. That alone is sick enough haha. Hit their blog for more!
Had a mellow Sunday this past weekend cruising the trail and stopping to check stuff out along the way. First day out on the trail riding my Manifest and th bike felt good the whole trip. The girl and I got a good 30+ miles in and stopped at this spot just before Sundown. I’ve ridden the American River trail more times that I could possibly count but for some reason have never stopped at these cliffs along the river. Pretty rad spot so I snapped this flick the ride while some birds lost their shit in the background.
Noah sent this over form Eighthinch a couple days back and I know some of you will be into it. They’re starting up another conversion contest that could have you riding around on a bike sooner than later. All you have to do is find an old junker (or not so junker) that you want to convert and post it to their facebook wall. If they pick yours as the winner you’re getting an “Essential Kit” from them to get you on the road. More details on their blog and make sure to jump over to their Facebook to drop those photos.
I recently got one of the new Eighthinch Manifests to putt around and I’m stoked. Haven’t had a track bike for some time now so I was more than willing to review one of these and stoked to be using is for a little project with Revolights. Obviously I need to get some pedals and straps before I’m good to go…just wanted to share some flicks asap. I’ll do a whole bike check once everything is dialed and I’ll have a little review up after I spend some solid time on the bike. After cruising around on it at work a couple days I’m diggin’ it alreadyyy. Gallery after the jump!
This weekend was pretty brutal but I got some shit done for sure. Eighthinch Manifest photos will be up tomorrow…build came out pretty cleannn. Detail shots on the way. Suck Me.
