Factory 5 continues to grow their impressive line of track machines with the Stream. A slightly aggressive geometry and dropped rear stay should have these responding well on the boards or the pavement. Four colors to choose from and shipping in just about a month go give it a look!
I’d definitely rock the hell out of this new Factory Five team frames for The Pack. Something about the colors on the Montreal team’s custom f550s that just grabs me. Peep more on the new sponsorship over on the F5 blog!
Factory Five upped a new rider profile featuring local shredder RK and his super rare Yongjia track frame. The first track model haling from China for back in the 60’s this oldie was re-built to cruise Shanghai streets. One a national racing machine a proper collection of NOS (that disc!) and modern parts (those Pauls!) make this thing look way too fun to ride. Peep the whole set and a rad little interview on the F5 spot!
I like checking the Factory Five flickr every so often for their current customer builds like this one. In my opinion everyone should have a sweet townie rig to snag some beers or hit grocery store. The box rack and bars on this one are too proper!
Factory Five has been dropping some of the cleanest track frames lately. The newest special edition F550s is as limited as it is purdy. Based of the regular F550 but with some tweaks in tubing and a carbon fork to lighten the load. The smooth welds on this version are real nice too. Specs after the click and more info here!
“The F550-S represents our never-rest attitude. We’ve been working on this one-off frameset for a while and are excited to present a very limited run of something special.
The base is the same geometry as our all-round-powerhouse F550. It is light, sturdy, nimble and awesome.
We’ve refined it. Instead of an oversize down tube we’ve kept it to 1+1/8th inch throughout. It lend super-clean lines and reduce weight slightly. Weight reducing and game changing too is the addition of a carbon fork up front.
The Seatpost diameter is 27.2mm, standard 68mm bottom bracket shell and a 1+1/8th inch headset. Sizing is from the center of the BB axel to the top of the seat post – which extends slightly above the top-tube.
Instead of the industrial TIG weld we’ve applied a smoothweld at all the joints. It’s the same application as on our F5100, turning each corner of the frame into a beautiful transition between the tubes.
Then, dress it in our 2014 team graphics and race logos. The F550-S. A pedigree.
Included in the frameset is an F5 Carbon fork. It has a 35mm rake, aluminium 1+1/8th inch steerer and weighs barely a few hundred grams.
We also offer a complete performance F55S build. Here’s the specification
* 20/24h H+Son Archetype Rims
* Low flange Gran Compe Hubs with bladed spokes
* Fyxation session tyres
* Thomson Elite Seatpost
* Thomson X2 Ahead Stem
* Deda RHM-02 Road bars
* F5 Lattice Chainring
* Izumi Chain
* Fyxation Pilot Saddle”
I’ve been watching Factory Five stuff for a bit and by the looks of it they make some solid stuff. Came across some flicks of one of their complete pits builds on their flickrrr and its looks pretty clean. That gray looks super good on a bike sometimes…this would be one of them. This is a sexy ass lugged track frame right here. Hit Factory 5 for more and to buy this ride if you dig it.
Spotted these clean builds on the Factory Five flicky just now. I’ve noticed some solid aluminum track frames hitting the market from a lot of newer companies. These shots of the Factory Five F5100 make it look pretty steezy. Reminds me of a newer Cannondale Track a bit which is a bike I love. The raw with white rear and the smooth welds look nice too and keep this thing looking pretty classy.
Now for something truly sick going custom is always a safe bet. This thing is so damn dope. Custom pursuit frame build for a F5 customer. They went one step further with custom paint and even had a carbon fork made for the beast. Too sick.
