Solstice Shred.

Posted by: kris

With the summer solstice comes the longest day of the year and the best day to be out riding late. Daniel, John and I took the camera and freestyle bikes out for a long evening of jumping on things. Came away with this quick double from Yound D at this popular bus stop ledge…seeing a bit more FGFS stuff in the near future!

Chain Gang.

I’m out on vacation until the end of the week but I’ve enjoyed this one from Turf Bikes and Mike Schmitt. This was filmed over the Prickly Pear Jam week and features a good 14 minutes of the best. With so many spots, styles and tricks this one has just about everything current in FGFS. Has me wanting to get out on mine…

Prickly Pear Jam.

Posted by: kris

There hasn’t been epic fixed freestyle jam for some time now and the Prickly Pear jam hit this one on the head. Awesome to see the amount of time and work from everyone that went into bringing back a staple of the freestyle scene to the heart of the desert.  With the support and progression seen at Prickly you can bet there will be a push for more events like these over the summer. Props to Mike at Turf for chopping this one down into a proper edit…

Turf Bikes | Tarck : A Day in San Francisco.

Posted by: kris

You can always count on Matt Reyes to deliver some stellar video when he’s teaming up with fellow Turfer Mike Schmitt. While Mike was in town for a recent stint they his the SF streets on their track builds to film this gem. A lot of fun out on the grimey streets and it’s safe to say Matt has some of the best big spins in the game! Be sure to hit up the boys at Wheel Talk for more good,,,

Andy Sparks | Neon Genesis.

Posted by: kris

Andy has one of my favorite styles in fixed freestyle in that he really uses his fixed drivetrain to the fullest. Lots of style in this one with more tech than you can sink your teeth into. Worth nothing the opposite tricks in the mix and some creative editing to keep things interesting. This got me motivated to head out and throw a few spins!

The FOAD dudes have been bringing some of the best track/freestyle mixes for some time now and are prepping to release their next and final piece. “The Good Times Are Killing Me” is set to drop this summer and features the SLC crew and some familiar faces getting wild all over. Whether it’s whips skids or wallrides you’re in you can be stoked for this one…

Mike Schmitt | Twilight Zona.

Posted by: kris

Turf‘s Mike Schmitt has had some time to settle into his new digs and hit some spots out in Arizona. He’s been stacking clips all over and brings us this gem chock full of rails and ledges. The one handed x-up double is too sick and the fakie double has to be one of the longest I’ve seen. This ones worth a couple clicks!

Wolfdrawn | Sesh Tape 14.

Posted by: kris

Another lo-fi fixed freestyle masterpiece from Wolfdrawn and a large section of the FGFS scene. A good mix of styles in this one with the creativity to carry it. Can’t believe this is number 14 already…longest running series at this point?! More over on WD!

Wheel Talk | Super Bowl Sunday.

Posted by: kris

With “the big game” on Matt and the dudes met up for another year Super Bowl shenanigans on the streets of SF. Looks like this now yearly event has grown since the last and the guys threw down all over town. The hang five handoff was too damn good…

Matt Reyes for Urban Outfitters.

Posted by: kris

Whether it’s something new for Chrome or a fresh edit for Wheel Talk, it seems like Matt always has something in the works. This proper interview from Urban Outfitters takes you into his day to day and what keeps him moving through the city. Stoked to see something so official from the homie and it’s definitely a great read!
