The crew at Hiplok are always hard at work creating bicycle security that’s a bit outside the box. Their new Airlok bicycle storage elevates hanging your bike on the wall to a whole new level. Combining a convenient wall-mount rack and security system saves space and ensures your ride stays home even when you’re not. The Kickstarter for Airlok went live this week and though it’s already gaining traction there’s plenty of rewards left to grab. Click through for more then hop over to get the rundown…
I’ve been looking for some waist chain locks for some time and always amazed by the products from Hiplok! Huge thanks to them for sending their proud lock for our test product review. Hiplok combines the concept of adjustable belt with chain lock, which makes it easy to loosen and tighten. For riders in Taipei City, sometimes it’s hard to lock the bike to a pole with a small U-lock. Hiplok wearable bike lock helps the cyclists easily and quickly lock their bikes and…the most important of all, it gives you more safety.
The Hiplok Gold Superbright features a highly reflective sleeve, giving maximum visibility when riding on the streets at night! If you are a messenger, this lock definitely suits you! For more info. head to their website and check out more details of Gold Superbright! Get your bike locked safely and buy more time!
Chances are when you’re headed into the hills or on a long on the pavement you won’t be making many stops. Carrying a full-size lock and lights can be a hassle when your focus is saddle time yet a cup of joe might be mandatory. Enter Hiplok‘s new FLX lock/light combo that’s just right for the job. A lightweight cable lock keeps your ride safe while still in sight while an integrated light keeps you in sight after dark…take a look!
The friends at Hiplok have updated their line just in time for the year’s biggest trade shows. The 2016 gear keeps the classics and adds some fresh stuff with the DX, Superbright and a few other gems. Their catalogue is live and pairs with proper product video to fill you in on what’s new!
Tonight is the first of the Revolights Goldsprints here in Sacramento and the fine people at Hiplok threw down a few things for the festivities. A couple of their Hiplok D mini guys and the V1.5 in a rad reflective finish. Peep the details for the event here…and get your ass to Low Brau for some party times!
When you’re trying to survive in the bike security game you’ve got to be innovative and Hiplok knows this well. Expanding on their line of locks with two new takes on past releases the Gold and DC are looking pretty sweet. I personally use either the D or 1.5 locks from the brand daily for work as a messenger and have yet to be disappointed. The newest offerings add a quick buckling system to their 10mm chain lock and a 5mm steel cable to their u-lock style D. Look for more on these once some samples arrive and in the meantime read up here!
For this month’s giveaway (yeah yeah…the month ends tomorrow) Hiplok came through with a sweet Hiplok D to dish out. We’ll be doing a Facebook caption contest this time around to mix things up a bit. All you have to do is “like” the Hiplok and Lockedcog pages and post a caption for the photo. You’ve got a week so don’t sleep…too long.
The fine people at Hiplok sent over a couple of their new D series locks to follow up the review of the V1.5. These bad boys are a new take on the mini u with a couple rad features. Most notable is the clip on design that’ll help save your belt/pants from some unnecessary wear and tear. You can pretty much attach this thing to any pocket, waitline or belt for quick and easy access. Worth noting the waterproof seal for the key hole as well. I’ve had a few locks seize up so hopefully this helps minimize that. Click through for the initial gallery and then Hiplok for more!
PS: Wednesday we’ll be announcing a Facebook giveaway to get one winner their own D series lock…check back then!
Reviewing locks is something entirely new for me. That being said I had some fun with testing out Hiplok’s V1.5 chain while waiting for their new D model. After about 5 months of work use, bar hopping and slamming this thing into the ground (literally) I’m definitely impressed.
Hard to deny that this bad boy looks a bit different than other locks in the same style. Rather than a plain padlock or micro u-lock to secure the chain the V1.5 has a plastic/metal cased padlock designed specifically for the purpose. There’s an array of colors from plain black to neons like the green here. A matching chain color and some nice lines on the lock make this look as good as it functions.
Got a nice package from the fine people at Hiplok today. I’ve been running their 1.5 chain since Interbike and now have a couple of Hiplok Ds to play with. One will be up for grabs on Facebook and the other up on here for a little review. Check back later in the week for some proper photos and a run down of the V1.5 that I’ve been using the past few months. Hit their spot to check their whole line of bike security options.
