I mean this kind of goes without saying considering i spend more time riding with Alex than anyone else hands down. Gnarlos also helps me out quite a bit with filming/editing while putting up with my crap. I just added a team page with the site refresh so I figure why not put something up officially? He’s also got the 330 spot for tomorrow bringing yous a few tricks he shopped up himself. Until then peep these photos from Jerome snapped when we hit up the Alleykitten in Oakland last month. These came out sick…click through to see Alex blasting out of that feeble downhill.
Jerome and I went out for some flicks last week. Been wanting some flicks of this super fun rail and he came through with some good ones. He’s going to be living in Berkley for school so this is probably going to be it as far as photos from him go for a while…bummed! Check out more on his flickr.
So here’s a slew of photos from the past couple weeks that I’ve been holding on to. I’ll be getting dailymobile stuff up a bit more frequently rather than dropping 10 photos at a time every now and then. That’s not really daily is it? Check it…
Love this spot. Shot some flicks here with Jerome yesterday.
This photo kills me haha. We got kicked out of a “swanky” bar for wearing tank tops. So to get around it we tossed on some ladie’s over garments. Got us some free shots from the bartenders for sticking it out. Worth it.
The guys at Eighthinch made this cute little flier with out mugs on it. I know im stoked to go and you should be trying to get there if you can! Im not really into riding contests but really enjoy getting to see everyone and hit some spots with them. Last year went off and im sure with the warmer temps this years Midwest wont disappoint. Im pretty pumped for Jeff to be making it out there with me…kids coming along fast for sure!
So I’ve been eying this thing for months. Like 6 months or so at least. Its right on the bike trail on my way to work and I’d always picture some stuff that could be put down on it. A few weeks back i finally got someone to venture out there with my and with the sun going down Jerome snapped this 270 footplant. I’ll be heading back for some video and other tricks but I just way excited to have finally rode the thing! Thanks buddy.
My good friend (one of my best actually) Jerome is hoping to leave for New York this summer. If he gets in to school out there he’ll be gone for the majority of the years to come. That being said I’d like to get out and shoot as much stuff with him as i possibly can before he leaves…he’s been a huge help to me thus far and i want to milk him for all i can. Haha. Really though he’ll be missed of he goes but in the meantime expect and influx of photos from him in the coming weeks.
Also want to note that this shot was supposed to be accompanied by shots of Jake and Jeff that hang at Pedal Hard…i wanted to get some shots of them up. We got booted from the first spot, Jake had to leave early and Jeff’s bike was MIA haha. Next time! This is the ledge i posted up in a Dailymobile last week…
So ive seen this type of project done a bunch with photos…Jerome has one going again…but i had yet to see a video version. Alas, Focal Point comes through with more than just a video 365 project and i love it. One solid BMX clip every day for the whole year. Ill be keeping up with this for sure…a few recent ones are below.
Made it out to SF last night to check the Bicycle Film Festival…this was the first time i got to see the Bike Shorts at any of the events so i was pretty stoked. For the Sac and NY events i attended all the events but missed out on the films. Kind of counter productive eh? Anywho, the night was pretty damn fun and filled with some interesting moments. Jerome, Corbin and I rolled out there in the afternoon and met up with a bunch of people who had been there for the entire event. Customary tall cans were drank, bikes were ridden, movies were watched, parties were attended and blood was shed. Ha.
Here are a few of my favorites that were there though i was stoked on all the shorts. Day Labor and the Grime boys pieces were really entertaining with some comedy mixed in there…real funny actually. Some cute photos at the bottom from the trick jam, the city and friends who were at the show. Ha. Camera was acting up and i was left without a flash so i didnt get too much. There are a couple “interesting” videos i may post later.
Macramento: It was awesome to finally get to see the Maca look of Sacramento on the big screen. John and everyone killing it on the trials and showcasing what sac has to offer. Really stoked to have been a part of this fun little video.
Lucas Brunelle Line of Sight: This was probably my favorite film of the shorts…even at 30 minutes. If you’ve been privy to internet bike videos over the past few years I’m sure you’ve watched one of his flicks. The close calls and crashes mixed with the interview footage from Lucas made this super interesting to watch. I strongly suggest seeing this if you get the chance.
Erik Elstran’s Dragon Shredit: This was such a dope and creative look at BMX. When this first started there seemed to be a few people who weren’t too stoked on it…and hadnt seen the trailer below…but once it got moving everybody was cheering. Id say this was the epitome of what fun on a bike looks like.
Im not really into posting things of myself…it just feels odd. However, when people put in time for something i definitely feel like they should get credit. My buddy Jerome here in Sac is always trying to get me out to take photos for whatever reason and he’s the first person i hit up when i need something media related. A few weeks ago we went out and he shot these flicks of Brad and i for that i needed and it was much appreciated. Jerome is one of those people always juggling more things than you can count and trying to make things happen…photography especially. He’s dabbling in a bunch of various avenues in the industry and I can tell that he’ll be making something of it…its what he loves to do. Check his flickr or his website for more of his work. Thanks again JaMomie!
