For about 8 months (a lifetime) now Congo has been away living in Montana, and also getting his swoll on Training to be in the military. Ya boy has graduated bootcamp and hes returned back to the motherland, Longbeach. Not wasting anytime to get back on a bike and start up his shred engine, we went on the hunt for spots to knock the rust off. one more after the jump…
When you here the name Antonyo, one word should come to mind, TECH. He slays everything he rides with the most style and best attitude. This dirt mound to wall spot popped up in Longbeach one day, and of course the FIXIE FACTORY crew went in. I snapped this photo of Tone slammin’ this wall to 180 days before the spot became extinct. Be on the lookout for Tone in an upcoming Ratpack edit, it’s fuckin’ good.
Riding with jball is always real fun, lots of energy and for being so young he knows how to dish out some sarcasm, my kinda dude. Any spot gets murdered by this guy, park, ledge, rail, fucking parking curb it doesn’t matter, he goes in. With that being said, there was no difference when I asked him to shoot some photos on this chunked up, pegless unfriendly ledge. He delivered, check the photos, make em your background, save em to your phone, show your friends by clicking below
When you think of Corey San Agustin one word should come to mind, BURLY. 1 run up, and he sent this huge drop to dirt mound lander, with a fence directly in front of him. As fucked as a drop can get, but Corey laced it no problem. Makes sense that he reps Destroy Bikes, perfect fit.
Corey has one of the smoothest styles in the fixed game. Not only does Corey hold it down for the 700c clan, but also the pegless crowd. He rides the most aggressive 700c rig I’ve ever seen made by the American bad ass’ over at Destroy. Here’s a dialed barrier tire stall I snagged while out jibbin around LA.
I was just asking people what winter wear they rocked to stay dry the other day. I’ve been looking for something a bit different than the usual shell from the shop. These are looking pretty fresh from Chari. If its as nice as their other stuff you know its going to perform well. Dig it. Stay dry. Buy here.
I was pretty pumped to see that the one and only Tom Mosher was at interbike yet again running the YNOT booth. Tom is more OG than most people in the sport and still pushing the limits. I hadn’t seen him in some time so it was nice to catch up and peep the new goodies. New bags and accessories galore and a really nice display for the event. I still remember when I prank called Tom a couple years back at BFF NY, being the first time we ever talked, telling him he better shut down YNOT because there was already too many strap companies around. It was obvious I was kidding and its obvious that YNOT is still growing on the daily. Peep the little interview below and more photos beyond Tom eating his lunch haha. This was actually the first of the interviews I did this year so its a little more improvisational that the other but I really feel it fits the vibe of the site. Peep it!
So I’m pretty juiced to be working with the NAHBS crew for 2012 here in Sacramento! I somehow snaked my way in as oe of the media partners and am beyond stoked for it. Expect a torrent of posts from the event and the affiliated happenings as well!
In addition to media and another unannounced event I am on the committee for Artbike! and am helping in getting some cool art in places around Sacramento. There’s going to be a lot of cool photos, paintings, drawings, sculptures and bikes on display all around town so make sure to check some of it out! Most of the openings are happening this Saturday for the Second Saturday Art Walk here in Sac. I’ll be hanging out at Cuffs for Megan Morgans Paint on Coffee Bags opening!
This actually happened a couple nights ago but i haven’t put any pictures up online just yet. In route to UPS to pick up my Mishka stuff two nights ago, someone ran a red light and tboned me. What’s really lame is that I gave up driving about a year ago to commumte by back and simplify things just a bit. I was literally just given this car before it happened. Ugh. It should be getting fixed or replaced but we’ll see! If you look closely you can see part of their license plate stuck in my door. Haha.
