There’s long been a demand for a clean quill stem that allows a 31.8 set of bars and the friends at Factory 5 have answered. Their new Titan stem is high polished and constructed of 7075 aluminum to keep classic look that saves on weight. These bad boys just started shipping so be sure to pop over and grab one for that 1″ build you’ve been wishing could have more bar possibilities!
Headed down to Alameda with the Gnarlos yesterday to knock out a quick Can’t Fool The Youth commercial. Met up at the Turf house before heading out and got a chance to peep Matt Reyes’ new Sling Shot stems up close. The design on these is killer and built up with the integrated topcaps it’s got to be the best fixed freestyle stem on the market. USA made too so you know its built to last. Click through for some detail shots and hit Turf to swoop]!
PS: Shout out to Matt for snapping some pics on my camera while wrapped things up!
Pretty rad piece added to the Cadence Airflow collection with this custom Ritchey stem. Patterned to match the kit and the quality we’ve come to expect from the brands. Available in sizes 90-130mm so you know they’ve got you covered. Swoop here before they all blow away!
Unknown has been cranking out new track stuff faster than anyone these days. Their new track stem and bars look like some damn good quality and if you’re looking to update your cockpit come in at just over $100 together. Swoop ’em at City Grounds.
Unknown has been quietly dropping a lot of track goods lately like this Salire stem. Full CNC and in a 31.8 clamp these things look pretty clean and I’m sure when they’re available next month will be relatively inexpensive. More here!
Oh wow! There’s some seriously good deals to be had at the SF Bike Expo from Eighthinch for sure! Like holy sheeet I might have to grab some of this stuff too! $50 splined cranks? 48 hole V1 Julians for just $10?! Some polo mallet deals and a ton of other stuff in there too! Hmmm. Might have to open up myself a little garage bike shop haha.
Just got this over on the Chari & Co. blog. Such a nice classy piece that I would love to rock. Nice lines for sure!
This went up as I was posting about the new Eighthinch products earlier but is definitely worth the post. If you pick out a stem, bar and grip combo in the Eighthinch store right now you can save some green and get you whole steering setup on lock.
These are looking mighty purdy! The response for the root beer color that Eighthinch introduced for the Butcher has had a huge positive response. I know personally when I’m on a root beer ride people comment on it often. Eighthinch decided to bring in their stem and bars in the color so you can match your stuff or grab some smaller parts to rock the color. Another little goodie that came in with these was the new 12t cogs. Little Jeff has been running one for a bit and you can bet I want to snag one to run some smaller gearing. Still full CNC and dipped like the rest of their cogs…dig it.
If you’re looking for a little something to piece with your Butcher soon you’ll be able to get a purdy matching stem. The boys at Eighthinch will also be putting out a 12t cog for all your small gearing needs.
