The crew at Rad Race were lucky enough to be the official recap squad for this year’s Berlin Six-Day. The more than a century old event is a six day race fest with different events each night. Definitely looks damn fun just to attend from what they’ve been putting up so far. Peep the first five days below and stay on Rad Race for the finale!
All over the world many are observing the Islamic holiday of Ramadan. For some this means a month long break from spinning at the track while fasting. This proper bit from a day at the track in Jakarta marks the last day of racing for the Jakarta crew…keep up with them in the meantime here!
No matter where you ride…THIS is track bikes. Athen’s is lucky enough to have an Olympic fixture to train on though just a lap would be enough to slap a smile on my face!
Some great visuals here with Schleudergang at the Augsburg velodrome in Germany. Indoor tracks looks awesome as it is especially with a litter of nice bikes circling the boards. Peep more from the cycling crew here!
Crazy to think that Stoked on Fixed Bikes has hit issue number 20 and the new release is good as ever. Once upon a time NS Bikes made a fixed freestyle frame that rode a tad bit more like a track bike. Fast forward a few years and the NS Analog is looking prime as a city machine that can take a bit of a beating. Follow the brands sales dude Piotr Jurczak as he makes his way through Gdansk to the NS headquarters. Looks like a pretty damn killer commute!
Friday was a pretty wild day for me but I managed to sneak in a few photos of the young buck Smither’s newest creation. This kid has gone through more bikes this year than most of us have owned yet they always end come out pretty damn proper. Not too often you see and M-idea on the street and this Ebay score came in looking like it came straight off a 90’s shop wall. Some proper track track parts plus a hell of a deal on the ZIPPs and he’s got one nutty NJS build. Click through for a handful more of this purdy thang….
Spotted this piece of awesomeness on Urban Velo this morning and had to share. After the popularity of the mini velodromes over the past few years it was only a matter of time before things got a bit weird. The figure 8 track dubbed The Comedown is going to be one the move and ready to race here soon…just hoping it makes it’s way stateside so I can have a go. Hop over to Urban Velo for more!
If you live in or near Sacramento there’s a rad screening coming up next weekend of Cheetah: Nelson Vails Story. If you don’t know who this dude is get to googling. A legend in cycling and huge influence to racers all over. More info right here.
Keirin Berlin showing you the dangers of being a Japanese Keirin racer. Looks like a pain in the ass to eat. This was too funny when it dropped a few years back.
