Teppei has long been one of the smoothest fixed freestyle riders and still holding it down on 700c to boot. Easily my favorite edit of his with the bench walk leg-over skid and some smooth pegless grinds. Fast skids still too on point as well and I always dig a good look at Fukuoka city spots…not to mention great work on the edit from Devour!
There’s no denying that track tricks are back with a vengeance and with every insta video I watch I can’t help but think about where it all started. Here’s a mellow one from back in ’09 when things first started picking up steam…
Bastard Krew teamed up with Russia’s Moskovstyle for some Barcelona street shredding during the most recent Red Hook. Nothing like some smooth skids and open roads to keep you busy during race week…check that little whip off the curb at 2:45!
JBall and his Suck My Cog label hosted one of the first FGFS comps in some time this past weekend. Faces new and old showed up to throw down at Silverado skatepark in Long Beach summer sun. Here’s a few recap flicks from the day…bummed I couldn’t swing this one!
With some changes on the horizon and a few things in the works I’ve been looking back at old content. Here’s one of my favorite old flicks from the early days of tricks on track bikes…more info on what’s coming in the next week or so!
Over the past year Miguel has been pushing the tech limits of fixed freestyle and at last has this bit of fire to share for Anthem Bike Co. JBall caught all the insanity that is likely some of the most technical riding many of us have seen. The last thirty seconds of this are where it gets real dirty and that last nose manual pivot is on another level. Hit SMC for all that is FGFS on the regular…
With the summer solstice comes the longest day of the year and the best day to be out riding late. Daniel, John and I took the camera and freestyle bikes out for a long evening of jumping on things. Came away with this quick double from Yound D at this popular bus stop ledge…seeing a bit more FGFS stuff in the near future!
